Hillerich & Bradsby model B301, circa 1974-1975, exhibits evidence of outstanding use with a handle crack. Some checking (grain swelling) from repeated ball contact is on the back barrel. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the barrel. Ball marks include black ink transfers. Also visble on the bat are red bat rack streaks and there is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. The handle has been taped with a single tape ring to secure the crack. The model number (B301) is stamped into the knob and Bowa’s number (10) is written on the knob in black marker. A Larry Bowa signature and the added inscription “To Gary Best Wishes” are on the front barrel in black marker. The bat has been graded a PSA GU9. A great bat of the All Star shortstop!
The bat is accompanied by a PSA Letter of Authenticity.
