Louisville Slugger model R161, circa 1980-1981, is un-cracked and exhibits evidence of outstanding use. Numerous ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on all sides of the barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers. Also visible on the bat are red and green bat rack streaks. There is a moderate coat of pine tar on the handle. “WB” is written on the knob in black marker. We are attributing the bat to Boggs 1980 and 1981 seasons with the Pawtucket Red Sox. The knob notation, his initials WB adjoined is seen frequently on his minor league bats. A Wade Boggs signature is on the front barrel in blue marker. The bat has been graded a PSA GU10. A great bat of the Hall of Fame 3rd baseman!
