Hillerich & Bradsby model D143, circa 1969-1972, exhibits evidence of outstanding use with a handle crack that has been repaired. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the left and back barrel. Ball marks include black ink transfers. Also visible on the bat are green bat rack streaks and there is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. The model number (D143) is stamped into the knob and Pappas’ number (32) is written on the knob in black marker. A Milt Pappas signature and the added inscription “NH 9-2-72” are on the front barrel in black marker. The bat has been graded a PSA GU9.5. A great bat of the All Star pitcher!
