Adirondack model MS20, from the 1982 season, is uncracked and shows evidence of outstanding use with slight checking (grain separation) from repeated ball contact on the back barrel. The barrel is covered with ball marks and ball stitch marks. Ball marks include black ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Also visible on the bat are red, black and green bat rack streaks and pine tar on the barrel from a weighted batting donut. The handle has been taped approximately 2.5 inches in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip and there is a moderate coat of pine tar on the taped handle. The model number (MS20), order number (206) and year (2) are stamped into the knob. Also visible on the knob is Schmidt’s number (20) in black marker and the weight of the bat (33 MS) in blue ink. Schmidt’s autograph and added inscription ‘HOF95’ are on the front barrel in black marker. The bat has been graded PSA GU10. A great bat of the All Star Hall of Famer!
