The Original Maple Bat Co. model GS1, from the 2003 season, is un-cracked with outstanding use.  Numerous ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the right, left and back barrel.  Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs.  Cleat marks can be seen on the right and back barrel.  Also visible on the barrel is a line from a weighted batting donut The lower handle and knob have been wrapped with guaze tape to enhance the grip. There is a moderate coat of pine tar on the handle.  Sheffield’s player number (11) is written on the knob in silver.  The length (34.5), weight (32oz), date of manufacture (6 26 03), model number (GS1) and order number (1889) are written on the top of the barrel in black pen.  A Gary Sheffield autograph with the added notation “Game Used” is on the front barrel in silver.  The bat has been graded a PSA GU10.  A great bat of the Braves All Star outfielder!
