Louisville Slugger model P72, from the 1989 season, is un-cracked and exhibits evidence of outstanding use. Slight checking (grain swelling) from repeated ball contact is on the front and back barrel. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the left, front and back barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. There is a light coat of pine tar on the upper handle with dye from Ripken’s batting gloves on the handle in the tar. Ripken’s number (8) is written on the knob in black marker. The bat has been graded a PSA GU 9.5. A great bat of the Hall of Fame shortstop and 3rd baseman!
