Hillerich & Bradsby model W248, circa 1974-1975, is un-cracked and exhibits evidence of outstanding use. Very slight checking (grain swelling) from repeated ball contact is on the back barrel. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on all sides of the barrel. Ball marks include black ink transfers. Cleat marks can be seen on the left barrel. Also visible on the bat are blue bat rack streaks and an impression from a weighted batting donut. There is a moderate coat of pine tar on the handle. The model number (W248) is stamped into the knob. Watson’s number (27) is written on the knob and top barrel in black marker. The bat has been graded a PSA GU10. A great bat of the All Star 1st baseman and left-fielder!

The bat is accompanied by a PSA Letter of Authenticity and a letter from the 1974-1975 Cincinnati Reds visiting clubhouse batboy.
